Moon.com fees and payouts: what you pay, what you get back

Moon publishes its fee structure in its own help centre, which means you can price a bet before you place it and know where the house makes its money. This page lays out the four charges with a worked example, then covers deposits and withdrawals so nothing about getting paid comes as a surprise.

Updated September 4, 2026. Facts from moon.com, its terms and help centre. Affiliate disclosure.

The four charges

Moon’s help-centre fee article describes four charges. Here they are in the order you meet them.

1. Opening fee: 1% of your stake. Charged when you open a bet, on the amount you put up, not on the leveraged exposure. Stake $100 at 50x and the opening fee is $1, not $50.

2. Holding fee: every 8 hours, dynamic rate. As long as a wager stays open, Moon assesses a holding fee on a fixed 8-hour cycle. The rate is not published as a number and Moon describes it as dynamic, which means it can move with market conditions. Three cycles a day, twenty-one a week.

3. Performance fee: at least 10% of realized profit. When you close a winning bet, Moon takes a minimum of 10% of the profit. Nothing is taken on a losing bet. The help centre says “minimum”, so treat 10% as the floor rather than a fixed rate.

4. Liquidity or spread adjustment at close. Moon’s terms reserve “a spread or other pricing edge in Moon’s favour”. The practical effect is that your entry and exit prices sit slightly worse than the mid-market price you see on a chart. The size is not published, and it is the one cost on this page you cannot compute in advance.

A worked example

Take a $100 stake on Bitcoin, Up, at 10x, held for 24 hours, closed for a $30 gross gain.

  • Opening fee: 1% of $100 = $1.00.
  • Holding fee: three 8-hour cycles at Moon’s dynamic rate. Call it H; Moon does not publish the number, so we will not invent one.
  • Performance fee: 10% of $30 = $3.00 (more if Moon’s rate is above the minimum).
  • Spread: already inside the $30, because the gain is measured from Moon’s prices, not the chart’s.

Net: $30 minus $1 minus H minus $3, so a little under $26 before the holding fee. The same bet closed at a $30 loss pays the $1 opening fee and H, and no performance fee. Short bets are cheap to hold; long bets are not; the spread shapes every result.

One sentence on leverage, because it belongs beside the numbers: at 1000x, a move of roughly 0.1% against you ends the bet before any of the fees above are counted, so the fee stack matters most on positions that survive.

Deposits

Deposits are crypto-only. Moon’s help centre says so directly, and there is no card or bank option. Before you can deposit at all you complete identity verification: a government ID, front and back, plus a proof of address. Do that at registration and the cashier opens as soon as Moon approves the documents.

Which coins and networks Moon accepts, and the minimum deposit, are not published in the help-centre pages we read. Both appear inside the cashier once you are verified.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals are paid in crypto to an address you supply. Moon’s terms set the conditions:

  • Verification first. The same ID and proof-of-address check that gates deposits also gates withdrawals, and higher-risk accounts may be asked for source-of-funds documents.
  • Anti-money-laundering review. Every withdrawal is subject to AML and counter-terrorist-financing checks. That is standard and it is also where delays happen if your account has an open question.
  • Limits. Minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts apply. The figures are set by Moon and shown in the cashier.
  • Network fee. You pay the blockchain fee for the coin you withdraw.
  • No published processing time. Moon does not state how long a withdrawal takes. We have not run a timed test ourselves, so we do not quote one.

Make a small withdrawal early, before your balance is large, so you know the process and timing from experience. If one is held, the usual cause is incomplete verification or a source-of-funds request, so answer promptly.

Rakeback and rewards

There is no welcome bonus on Moon at the time of writing. What exists is rakeback: 3.5% of the fees you pay, returned to you, activated through approved affiliates and streamers or when you reach Bronze VIP. Any bonus funds carry wagering requirements before they can be withdrawn. Whether signing up through our link switches rakeback on for you is not something we can confirm, so check your rewards tab after registration and ask support if it is not showing.

In short

Published fees are the most useful trust signal a betting site can give you. Opening and performance fees are small and predictable, the holding fee rewards short positions, and the spread is the unknown. Read the safety checklist, then sign up through the link below.

Questions people ask

Does Moon.com charge a fee on losses?

The performance fee applies only to realized profit, so a losing bet pays no performance fee. A losing bet still pays the 1% opening fee, any holding fees assessed while it was open, and the spread or liquidity adjustment at close.

What are Moon.com withdrawal fees?

Moon's terms say withdrawals carry the network fee of the coin you withdraw and are subject to minimum and maximum limits. Moon does not publish a fixed withdrawal fee schedule in the pages we read, so check the cashier for the current figures.
