How to sign up on Moon.com the right way

What you need before you start

• An email address you check.
• A government-issued photo ID: passport, national ID card or driving licence. Both sides.
• A proof of address, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your name and address.
• A crypto wallet with funds to deposit. Moon accepts crypto only; there is no card or bank option.
• Ten minutes.

Step 1: Register

Enter your email and choose a password. Make the password unique to Moon. If the security settings offer two-factor authentication, turn it on now while you are thinking about it.

Step 2: Verify your identity

Moon’s help centre is clear that verification comes before your first deposit, not after. Upload your ID, front and back, and your proof of address. Photograph both in good light with all corners in frame; blurry uploads are the usual cause of a rejected document and a second round.

Once approved, the cashier unlocks. The same verification also covers withdrawals, so you will not be asked to do it again later unless Moon requests source-of-funds documents for a higher-risk account.

Step 3: Deposit crypto and place your first bet

Before you send anything, spend a few minutes in play-money mode. Place a bet Up and a bet Down, try a low leverage and a high one, and watch how the position moves. It costs nothing and it teaches you the one rule that matters: at 1000x, a move of about 0.1% against you ends the bet before spread and fees.
