Responsible gambling
Responsible gambling
Updated September 4, 2026. Facts from moon.com, its terms and help centre. Affiliate disclosure.
Moon is a leveraged betting product. At 1000x, a price move of roughly 0.1% against you ends the bet, before spread and fees. Losses can be total and they can be fast. Please treat every stake as money you have already decided to spend.
Tools in Moon’s terms
Moon’s terms of service describe two controls you can use on your own account:
- Take a Break: a pause on your account lasting from one day to three months.
- Self-exclusion: a longer block, for a minimum of six months or permanently.
Moon does not have a standalone responsible-gambling page that we could find, so look for these tools in your account settings and, if you cannot find them, ask Moon’s support to apply one for you. Find them on your first day, not on a bad one.
Warning signs
Betting more to win back a loss. Betting with money set aside for bills or rent. Hiding how much you bet from people close to you. Feeling restless or irritable when you are not betting. Raising the leverage because lower settings no longer feel like anything. Any one of these is a reason to take a break; two or more is a reason to talk to someone.

Our position
This site earns a commission when people sign up to Moon. We would rather earn nothing from you than have you bet money you cannot afford to lose. If you are not sure whether you should sign up, do not sign up.
